About

Bristol Games Hub logo

Bristol Games Hub, officially opened by industry legend Ian Livingstone, is a non-profit organisation that provides working space in Bristol (and the wider region!) where game developers (both digital & physical), academics and others working in the games/play arena come together under one roof to create games. Our vision is of a community of excellence in games development that attracts new business and job opportunities for the regions thriving games development community.

The Hub is for games development companies, freelancers and academics working on any game-related activity. All funds raised are put straight back into developing the space, supporting the Hub’s residents and the wider South West games community. Here’s a Guardian live blog showing a day in the life of the hub…

The ethos is one of openness, generosity and collaboration. We support indie studios, new start-ups and students by providing low-cost office space, sharing resources, expertise, experience and best practise and to develop the current and next generation of ‘stars’ in game development.

If you would like to talk to us about renting a low-cost desk in a thriving community please see our sister organisation, bristolcoopmode.com.
